The 2012 ‘Sponsor a Blanket’ winter project of Darul Ihsan Centre - now in its fourth year - has come to an end. Alhamdulillah, this year a total of 5,155 blankets were distributed locally and nationally.
The 2012 ‘Kajoor Project’ of Darul Ihsan Centre has come to an end. Alhamdulillah, over ten tons of quality dates have been distributed locally, nationally and in three countries in Africa.
Darul Ihsan Centre held several Zakat programmes in various Masajid in KZN on 22 Sunday July 2012. The programmes, which are held annually, were conducted in Pietermaritzburg, Stanger, Asherville, Overport and Westville.

On Saturday 23 June 2012, over 130 young men and Ulama participated in a ‘six-a-side’ soccer tournament at the Al-Falaah College’s outdoor Astro Turf.
On Wednesday 20 June 2012 Darul Ihsan Centre (Durban), together with representatives of the Kokstad Muslim Community (KMC), distributed blankets and provided a meal for children of different schools in Kokstad.
Alhamdulillah, thus far over 4,000 blankets have been distributed to the disadvantaged in Darul Ihsan Centre’s ‘Sponsor-a-Blanket’ campaign.
This year blankets have been distributed both locally and nationally in the following areas: Durban and surrounding areas, Phoenix, Chatsworth, Richard’s Bay, Shaka’s Kraal, Tongaat, Kokstad, Bergville, Gauteng, Zeerust, Bloemfontein, Botshabello, East London and Cape Town.
In June Darul Ihsan Centre facilitated a Qirat Jalsa programme with the Sautul Qur’an Foundation. Three programmes were held; on Thursday 7 June at Masjid ut Taqwa in Sea Cow Lake, on Friday 8 June at Jaamiah Masjid in Verulam and Saturday 9 June at Masjid Kibriyaa in Ladysmith.
