The programme, facilitated by the Darul Ihsan Humanitarian Centre was presented by Advocate Mohammed Vahed (Young Leaders Academy) and attended by over 50 tertiary learners and Alim students from institutions including MA Motala, As-Salam Combined Institute, and Jamia Al Ihsan.
Themed “Leading with Wisdom: Leadership Principles from the Life of Rasulullah ﷺ”, the interactive session focused on core Islamic leadership principles. Key topics included:
The distinction between wisdom and knowledge
Leadership in Islam and the responsibility of guardianship
The role of leaders and followers (thermometer vs thermostat analogy)
Essential leadership qualities: accountability, servant leadership, strategic planning, consultation (Shura), mercy and compassion
Participants engaged through lectures, group discussions, and a lively Q&A session, creating a dynamic and thought-provoking environment.

Impact
The LDP aims to provide empowerment, Tarbiyah, and leadership development for the next generation of Muslim leaders. Participants responded positively, praising the topics' relevance and the workshop's interactive nature.
The session successfully highlighted timeless leadership lessons from the life of Rasulullah ﷺ and their application in contemporary contexts.
Darul Ihsan intends to host further LDP sessions during the year, continuing to build on the success of this programme.
