Sheikh Abu Bakr Shibli (RA) - a great and pious person - narrated that a few days after his neighbour had passed on he saw the neighbour in a dream and enquired about his condition. The neighbour replied that immediately after the people buried him, the angels of punishment arrived and surrounded him. They were close to meet out punishment to him when suddenly an extremely handsome person came to his rescue and dispersed them (the angels of punishment).
The neighbour then enquired about this handsome person’s identity.
It was revealed to him that in the world he (the neighbour) had read much durood, hence, Allah Ta’ala converted that durood into this handsome person and the neighbour was assured that the handsome person will be with him until he reaches Jannah and no punishment whatsoever will afflict him. (Ru’ya Nabi).
