Q: A conventional has offered me a job interview in the business finance department. Is it permissible for a Muslim to work at a conventional bank?

A: It is not permissible to work in such a post at a conventional bank. It is inevitable that one will engage with interest and other impermissible transactions either directly or indirectly and provide support and extra value to this system. Accordingly, one must avoid accepting such employment.
