Q: I would like to know the Islamic ruling with regard to smoking marijuana (cannabis/weed/dagga/zol, etc.)

A: All intoxicants are Haram and prohibited. To consume (drink/smoke/inject/ingest) any intoxicant including marijuana (weed/dagga/cannabis) is clearly prohibited. The spiritual, physical and societal harms of drugs and intoxicants are devastating.
